The Shopper’s Drug Mart Run For WOMEN “Run to Refresh” Contest (the “Contest”) is administered by Flow Marketing (the “Sponsor”). Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to the Sponsor at 14845 YONGE ST. UNIT 6, SUITE 255, AURORA, ONTARIO, L4G 6H8 or email@example.com. By participating in this Contest, each contestant agrees to be legally bound by these Official Contest Entry Rules (the “Rules”).
By entering this Contest, the entrant accepts and agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. The entrant understands that he/she is providing his/her information to Shoppers Drug Mart Run for WOMEN and not to Facebook. Entrant completely releases Facebook of all liability in this Contest.
1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest is run by the Sponsor and will take place from March 11th, 2014 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) to April 15th, 2014 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”). Contest Sponsors reserve their right (subject in Quebec to the approval of the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux) to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest, and select a winner from previously received applicable eligible Entries.
The Shopper’s Drug Mart Run for WOMEN Facebook “Run to Refresh” Contest (the “Contest”) is open to residents of Canada only, who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence, who are in compliance with the Contest Rules and Regulations (“Rules”), except employees, retirees of Shopper’s Drug Mart and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, agents, associates, dealers, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies and members of the immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother) of these employees and retirees or any person with whom they are domiciled (“Eligible Entrant”).
2.1 Contest Entry Restrictions: There is a limit of one (1) entry per Eligible Entrant for the Contest. Each Eligible Entrant must have a Facebook account to participate in the Contest Period. Subsequent or additional entries submitted by an Eligible Entrant will be considered void.
2.2 Awarding of Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the selected Eligible Entrants whose contact information (email address) has been given at time of the entry in the Entry Form on the Facebook page and who have complied with the Rules.
3.1 Prizes: 6 of prizes will be awarded (“Prize”). The approximate value of each Prize is a maximum of $100.
Each Prize will be awarded by a random computer generated draw.
Each Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution or transfers of the Prizes will be allowed.
The winner is solely responsible for payment of any applicable taxes and reporting any taxable income associated with the prize. The prize cannot be substituted or transferred to a third party. However, Shopper’s Drug Mart may in its discretion substitute the prizefor another prize which is, in its opinion, of equal or greater value. Any additional costs not described in these Rules as part of the prize that are incurred in collecting and using the prize are the winner's responsibility.
3.2 Odds: The odds of being randomly selected to win a Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
4. Methods of Entry
4.1 Entry and Registration: To enter the Contest for a chance to win any prize the contestant must complete the Contest Entry Form (the “CE Form”) at www.facebook.com/RunforWOMENSeries. Contestants must provide a valid email, full name and telephone number on the CE Form and posting your comment on how running and/or walking helps refresh your mind, body, and spirit. Submit your entry by clicking on the “Submit” button. Incomplete CE Forms or CE Forms with false information will be deemed as invalid and will be disqualified. Only fully completed CE Forms with valid information received by the Sponsor's servers during the Contest Period will be accepted for entry into this Contest. Once the CE Form is complete, the contestant must click submit. The contestant will then obtain one entry into the Contest for a chance to win 1 of 6 Prizes and will be registered with the Contest.
4.2 Limit of One Registration: There is a limit of one (1) registration per person and per email address during the Contest Period. Note: Contestants can only use the Run to Refresh Facebook Page to register for the Contest. If it is discovered that a contestant has attempted to: (i) register (or participate in Doubling Your Entries, described below) more than one (1) time or (ii) use (or attempt to use) multiple names, email addresses or identities to register for, or otherwise participate in, the Contest, then (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) he/she may be disqualified from participating in the Contest and all of his/her entries may be disqualified. Use (or attempted use) of multiple identities, email addresses and/or any automated system to register for or otherwise participate in this Contest is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification.
4.3 Earning Extra Entries: Each contestant in the Contest will have the ability to earn additional entries (“Extra Entries”) by completing certain tasks within the Contest Period. Each contestant may only earn Extra Entries using one (1) registration. All Extra Entries must be earned during the Contest Period. No purchase is necessary to obtain any Extra Entries. To earn Extra Entries, a contestant may:
(a) Perform specific actions ("Action") as set out at www.facebook.com/RunforWOMENSeries. Actions could include, but are not limited to: ‘liking’ the contest post, commenting on the contest post. Entries will be awarded when the completed Action is received by the Sponsor’s server.
Each Action completed and received by Sponsor's servers will award a specific number of Extra Entries to the contestant completing the Action. Actions may be time limited. All time published in the advertisement of Actions will be Eastern Standard Time. The Sponsor reserves the right (subject in Quebec to the approval of the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux) to amend these Rules in order to add additional means of earning Extra Entries by posting them on the Run to Refresh Facebook page. No purchase is necessary.
5. DRAW & WINNER SELECTION PROCESS:
5.1 Draw: A draw of 6 eligible entries will be made by a random computer-generated selection on April 16th, 2014, at noon (ET), or soon thereafter, at 14845 YONGE ST. UNIT 6, SUITE 255, AURORA, ONTARIO, L4G 6H8 among all eligible entries registered and received during the Contest Period ("Prize Draw").
Each selected Eligible Entrant will be contacted by email. At least three (3) attempts to contact the selected Eligible Entrant by email will be made within the fourteen (14) days following the Prize Draw. If the Contest Sponsor is unable to contact the selected Eligible Entrant within fourteen (14) days following the Prize Draw, another Eligible Entrant will be randomly selected and the initial selected Eligible Entrant will be disqualified, his/her right to the Prize will be forfeited and that selected Eligible Entrant will have no further recourse towards Contest Sponsor or anyone involved in the Contest. There is a limit of one (1) prize per Eligible Entrant and per household for the Contest.
5.2 Prize Claim: In order to win a Prize, the selected Eligible Entrant must first correctly answer without aid a time limited, mathematical skill testing question to be administered by telephone. If the selected Eligible Entrant answers the question correctly, he or she will also be required to sign and return a Declaration and Release form confirming compliance with these Contest Rules, the Eligibility Requirements, if applicable, acceptance of the Prize as awarded and releasing Contest Sponsor from all liability. The selected Eligible Entrant will have seven (7) days, upon receipt, to return a signed copy of the Declaration and Release form to the Contest Sponsor. If the selected Eligible Entrant does not do so, another Eligible Entrant will be randomly selected and the initial selected Eligible Entrant will be disqualified, his/her right to the Prize will be forfeited and that selected Eligible Entrant will have no further recourse towards Contest Sponsor or anyone involved in the Contest.
Upon receipt of the duly signed Declaration and Release form, the Prize will be delivered to the winner through Canada Post to their mailing address provided by the winner on his or her Declaration and Release Form.
5.3 Prizes Delivery: The Sponsor or its representatives will determine how the presentation of a prize will occur and this may be either in a media event, by mail or in person. If the determined method is by mail to the confirmed Prize winner at his/her registered address, please allow six (6) to eight (8) weeks for delivery.
6. GENERAL RULES
Entry forms and Declaration and Release forms are subject to verification by Contest Sponsor and/or its designated representatives. Entries made with multiple addresses, under multiple identities, through the use of any device or artifice to enter multiple times, or entries that are in excess of the permitted number of entries for the Contest Period are automatically void. Any Entry or Declaration and Release form which is, as the case may be, invalid, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, fraudulent, registered or submitted late, not received, bearing an invalid e-mail address, or otherwise noncompliant with these Rules shall be rejected and will not entitle to an entry or to a prize, as the case may be. Contest Sponsor will be the sole and final reference source in validating Entries and Declaration and Release forms. Contest Sponsor is not responsible or liable for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, stolen, delayed, undelivered, unregistered, damaged or destroyed entries, notifications, replies or any Declaration and Release form; for lost, faulty, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, websites or other connections, related to the Contest and/or the Shopper’s Drug Mart Page on Facebook; for errors and failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, human, electronic, mechanical and/or technical in nature; for failure or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer and online systems, servers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, or browsers on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, the Shopper’s Drug Mart Page on Facebook, any related website, application or any combination thereof or otherwise; for any injury or damage to entrant, entrant's computer, or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading material in connection with the Contest; or for incorrect or inaccurate information.
By participating, each Eligible Entrant and the winner agree:
.to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of Contest Sponsor,
.to the collection and use of his/her personal information by Contest Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest,
.to release and hold harmless Contest Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability for any claims/damages whatsoever with respect to acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, and/or entry or attempt to enter the Contest,
.to permit Contest Sponsor to use his/her name, the details on his/her entry on how running and/or walking helps refresh your mind, body, and spirit, city, province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, video, voice and/or declarations regarding the prize for advertising or publicity purposes without any compensation, and
.to sign a Declaration and Release Form to this effect. Subject to what is provided in these Rules, the decisions of Contest Sponsor in relation to this Contest will be final and binding on all Eligible Entrants.
Contest Sponsor shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost / delayed / incomplete / interrupted / misdirected / stolen / illegible / deleted data / network transmissions, line failures of any telecommunication network, failure of computer equipment, software, websites, inability to access any online service or web site, inability to submit the Entry Form or any other malfunction or human or technical error, or any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest, or for late, lost, stolen, postage due, illegible, undelivered or misdirected entries.
Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend this Contest, at its sole discretion, in the event of a technical failure, computer virus or bug, unauthorized human intervention, fraud or any other occurrence or cause beyond its control that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness or normal operation of the Contest.
If a selected Eligible Entrant is awarded a prize due to a system error, malfunction or defect or human error, the prize will be returned to the prize pool, to be re-awarded.
Under no circumstances will the Contest Sponsor be required to award more prizes than indicated in these Rules or to award a prize otherwise than in accordance with these Rules.
The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and local laws, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws. For non Quebec residents: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and The Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. For Quebec residents: any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Quebec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
If a paragraph of these Rules is declared illegal, non-executable or null by a competent court, then this paragraph will be considered void, but unaffected all paragraphs will be applied within the limits of the law.
In case of any discrepancy between the French and English versions of these Rules, the English version shall prevail.
This Contest is not managed, endorsed, administered or sponsored by Facebook. Any Contest entrant is providing his or her information to the Contest Sponsor and not to Facebook. Any question, comment or complaint regarding the Contest must be directed to the Contest Sponsor and not to Facebook. Facebook and all its affiliates, directors, officers, agents and employees are not liable for any claims arising out of or in connection with the organization of this Contest. However, by participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of use, contracts, other policies and/or guidelines governing the Facebook platform and releases the Contest Sponsor, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with it, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives from and against any damage that could arise from the use of this platform.

1. Are men & boys allowed to participate in the races?
Yes, we understand some men & boys would like to participate to support their mothers, friends, sisters and wives. They are welcome to register, however as this is meant to be a women’s and girls’ event the shirts are women’s sizing only, as well as the finishers’ bracelet.
2. Can I wear my mp3 / iPod?
For your safety, music players and headphones may not be worn.
3. Can I bring my dog, stroller, bike, rollerblades or scooter?
For your safety and the safety of the other runners, the above are not permitted on the course in the 5K and 10K events. Strollers will be permitted at the BACK of the 5K only.
4. Can I get a refund or defer my registration to next year?
Sorry, we are not able to offer refunds or deferrals.
5. I can't run this year; can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Transfers will be considered on a case by case basis. You must request a transfer by e-mail NO LATER THAN two weeks prior to race day. No exceptions. The new participant must return a completed waiver before they are permitted to pick up their race kit.
6. Can I alter my registration from the 5K to the 10K or from the 10K to the 5K?
You may request a race distance transfer by e-mail NO LATER THAN two weeks prior to race day.
7. Can I walk the race route? Is there a time limit to complete the course?
Yes, you can walk the route, but you must complete the 5k route within 60 minutes and the 10k route with 120 minutes.
8. Can I register a child to run the race?
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire race route.
9. Are there age group prizes?
Prizing will be awarded in both the 5K and 10K races. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 female overall finishers in both distances, then age group prizes.
10. Are men eligible for prizes?
Unfortunately, men are not eligible for any awards/prizes.
11. Is there a registration limit?
There is a limit of 2,000 participants in all cities, including both the 5K and 10K. There is a limit of 200 girls in the 1K in each city.
12. Will the race be timed?
The 5K and 10K will be chip timed, the Little Steps Girls 1K will not. Results will be posted shortly after the race at this website.
13. Will there be finisher medals?
All finishers in the 5K & 10K races will be awarded a Finishers Bracelet. All girls in the Girls 1K will receive a finishers medal.
The team captain must first register and enter the team name
-The system automatically generates the team password and provides it in the confirmation email
-The captain can then send the team name and password to other members to join
-Each person must register individually
-There is no way to sign up the entire team in one registration as everyone needs to accept the waiver of liability and provide contact information should we need to reach you
-Captains can view the number and list of team members from their personal Athlete’s Dashboard
